HAPPENINGS FOR TEENS

The high school students at St. Mark’s are a lively, active group of teens. They share dinner on Wednesday nights, participate in discussions on hot topics, do service projects together, and travel on an annual mission trip. And there is plenty of fun mixed in, with outings and music opportunities. But the underlying thread is a constant learning of ways to integrate their faith into the pressures of high school life and supporting of one another.

If you have questions about any of the youth programs at St. Mark's, email Pastor Patrick (or call the church office, 630-897-6891).

  • YOUTH GROUP

    WEDNESDAY EVENINGS, 5:30 - 7:30 P.M.

    GRADES 9 THROUGH 12

During the school year, high school students gather each Wednesday evening to share a common meal and participate in group discussions. The discussions center around relevant topics and ways to integrate faith into real life.

  • MINISTRY OUTINGs

    ONCE A MONTH

    GRADES 9 THROUGH 12

Throughout the year, the high school students plan a Ministry Outing that entails both a fun and service component. The purpose of these outings is to build relationships with each other and build up the surrounding local community. Examples of service projects include: packaging food at Feed My Starving Children, participating in home repairs through Rebuilding Together Aurora, and serving a meal at the Hesed House. Examples of fun places we’ve tied together with service include: Funway, Skyzone, Lock-ins, and Laser Tag.

  • MISSION TRIP

    ANNUAL SUMMER WEEK-LONG TRIP

    GRADES 9 THROUGH 12

Every summer, our high school students have an opportunity to participate in a week-long mission trip. Each year, we travel and serve a new community to allow for more variety and for students to experience different cultures and people. These trips are a great way for students to grow in their faith through hands-on, experiential learning.
