Immigration and Neighborly Love

Love Without Borders

Luke 10:27 – “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

When Jesus gave us the greatest commandments—to love God and love our neighbor—he didn’t add footnotes or exceptions. The word “neighbor” included everyone: the nearby and the far-off, the familiar and the foreign, the friend and the stranger. That call remains as powerful and relevant today as it was two thousand years ago.

During September, we focus on immigration through our partnership to support St. Andrew/San Andres Lutheran Church in West Chicago. This is our opportunity to live out this calling to love our neighbor with intentionality. We are not just reaching out—we are entering into sacred relationship. Supporting another congregation means listening, learning, and lifting one another up as equals in the body of Christ. READ MORE . . .
