Acts: Catching Up with the Spirit

    by Matthew Skinner

How did they do it? The first apostles faced unique challenges in the decades after Christ's ascension. Their acts of spreading the gospel to the world call us to a daring life, with deep care for our neighbor and expansive inclusion. In his new book, ACTS, Professor Matthew Skinner (Lutheran Theological Seminary) ignites our imagination to live out our faith in our changing world. All are welcome to join this study on Tuesday mornings, led by Pr. Charisse. Please order the book ahead and contact  Pr. Charisse for the Zoom link.

  • 21&Over

The 21&Over group is for young adults (roughly in the 21 to 40-year-old range). In pre-COVID days, the group gathered once a month at a member's home to have meaningful conversation and build authentic relationships. That goal remains the same, but the venue has changed out of necessity. After a summer of Zoom meetings, 21&Over will be doing an in-person outing, outdoors, during the month of September. Details are still being worked out. If you are interested in attending, contact Pr. Patrick to get on the email thread.

  • Seekers Circle

Seekers is a welcoming place for women who are seeking to understand themselves, their faith, and each other in a setting of open sharing. Each month a different person selects a topic from ELCA's "Bold Cafe" to guide the group's discussion on contemporary and personal issues from a spiritual perspective. Any woman is welcome to join at any time.  Seekers meets on the third Monday of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (currently, via Zoom). If you're interested in joining, contact Marcia Broucek.
