Saturday June 19, 6 p.m.
sponsored by the Aurora ELCA churches
A moving and powerful service in honor and commemoration of Juneteenth and the Emanuel Nine, with participants from the community and Aurora’s four ELCA churches: St. Mark’s Lutheran, Our Savior Lutheran, New Hope Lutheran, and Faith Lutheran. The service will commemorate both the martyrdom of the Emmanuel 9 and the celebration of Juneteenth, which honors the 1865 emancipation of Black people in Texas. This is a community-wide event, and we invite you to come!

Your kids are going to LOVE our new summer Family Fun Sundays! Once a month, following the 10 a.m. worship service, we are inviting families to gather outdoors for activities, fun, and food. The Sunday services on each of these Sundays will be pretty special, too. There will be a children’s message, along with something extra in the service to engage your kids. PLUS there will be a nursery on Family Fun Sundays for your little ones, age 0 to 3. Here's the line up for the first event on June 27th:
- “Magic of Scott Pilner” (30 minutes of entertainment!)
- photos/autographs with Disney Princesses and Marvel’s Thor
- Salerno’s hot dog cart (dogs, $1.50 ea)
SAVE THE DATES: Additional Family Fun Sundays: July 25 and August 22.
