Let my teaching fall like rain

and my words descend like dew,

like showers on new grass,

like abundant rain on tender plants.

Deuteronomy 32:2

At St. Mark's, we focus on informing and engaging people of all ages in faith formation and in the life and ministry of the church.

Sunday Mornings: 9:00 a.m. For children three years old through fifth grade

Sunday School at St. Mark's is a weekly fun, faith-building experience for children as they spend time learning about the weekly message with music and other interactive activities. Our Sunday School program is designed to help students build a strong foundation for their faith life and to learn how to apply God's Word in their everyday lives. Sunday School runs September through early May.

Wednesday Evenings: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. For grades 1 through 5

On Wednesday nights at St. Mark's, Faith and Daily Life (FDL) helps students build a strong foundation for their faith life through a shared meal and time spent learning, through words and discussion as well as music, crafts, and games. Kids learn to apply God's Word in their daily lives, worship in community to grow in their faith — and have fun! There are music opportunities for the kids before and after FDL too.

Wednesday Evenings: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. For grades 6 through 8

In Confirmation class, young people consider questions like: What does it mean to be a Christian person in my own life? How can I participate in God's purposes of peace and justice? Each Wednesday evening session begins with a large group session, followed a shared meal and small group time with small group mentors. The Rite of Confirmation, the Affirmation of Baptism, takes place every year on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday of October, at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Wednesday Evenings: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. For grades 9 through 12

In Youth Group, high school students gather to share a common meal and then participate in group discussions on current hot topics, the pressures of high school and how to integrate their faith into all of these things. The Flying Lions also do service projects in and outside of St Mark’s and have social events, including haunted corn maze in the fall, winter lock-in and more. They also go on an annual mission trip to spread God’s word and love into the world.

Tuesday Mornings: 10:00 a.m. For all adults

During fall, winter, and spring, Adult Study meets for learning and friendship building. Topics vary from books of the Bible to timely topics to theology. Usually, sessions are independent of each other so weekly attendance is not a must. All adults are welcome as they have the opportunity to join in.
